Hitman 2 is coming to PC and consoles later this year, the developer IO Interactive, which acquired it’s freedom as a independent developer from square enix in 2017 (again) and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today. This is a direct sequel to 2016’s Hitman will arrive Nov. 13 and will continue Agent 47’s story.
With the announcement, a trailer was released featuring a voice-over from actor Sean Bean and showing some of Agent 47’s assassination methods featured in the upcoming game, you can see this in the video above. Some new locations for the sequel include Miami, home to an international motorsport race. Hitman 2 will include six new locations, from “sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests.”
Hitman 2 will introduce new ways to play, new game modes and new features, according to the game’s official description. That includes a new Sniper Assassin mode that features a new cooperative multiplayer for two players which has not yet been seen in previous hitman games. A trailer has also been released for the new Hitman: Sniper Assassin mode can be seen below. Sniper assassin is a pre-order game offered with any pre-purchase as a form of incentive.
The game’s story centers on a mission to “eliminate the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia, but when 47 learns his target’s true identity and the truth about his past, it changes everything.”
