Some good news for those who have yet to explore Destiny 2’s DLC expansions, Curse of Osiris and Warmind. For today, though foreseeable into the weekend, both of the previously released expansions are being sold at a 50% discount in the comprehensive Expansion Pass. While it seems like Bungie is just trying to encourage sales of Forsaken, those who are interested in either Curse of Osiris and Warmind or just want to jump right into Forsaken should grab this deal while it lasts.
At $10 for the pair of DLC packs, it’s a pretty nice buy-one-get-one and a stark difference from the $60 season pass they have since discontinued. Grabbing the pack is a good way to get back into the game, though some may not find much appeal in playing catch-up with those players who followed along with the DLC season.
Still, with the game’s new lifeblood comes the positives and negatives in Forsaken, such as paid level boosts, further micro-transaction integration and an alleged return to form with the latest content. Even if Warmind wasn’t quite what I was hoping for, Forsaken seems to be getting a very warm reception.
Unfortunately for owners of Curse of Osiris, they cannot benefit from this sale. Attempting to purchase this DLC with either pack owned will return an error, and it seems only potential players who solely own the Destiny base game are eligible for this deal.
Surprisingly, there has been no feedback from Bungie or Blizzard, other than the discount advertised on the Battle.Net client, so, worst of all, many potential players are likely to miss this deal. Don’t be afraid to spread the word!
